Here are some key comments from a selection of our many clients ...
Re-Union Canal Boats have recently had a 15 minute film completed by the SCFU and are absolutely delighted with the output. The engagement with our staff and volunteers has been first class and delivered to meet all of our requirements and expectations. Thoroughly recommend.

The Hannah Bostock CMN charity have been delighted with the professionalism of the work carried out by the Scottish Community Film Unit. They filmed, edited and produced a DVD recording of a wonderful concert, held in memory of Hannah Bostock. From start to finish they understood the nature of the event and provided us with excellent memories of the many West Lothian musicians, dancers and choirs that performed for Hannah. Deadlines for production were met well within those agreed and all who bought the DVD have commented on its quality.

Community Enterprise is currently delivering three 'Our Place' contracts in Falkirk, Glenrothes and Dundee. These are exciting projects with a duration of five years working with local people to identify projects that will benefit from Lottery investment.
We engaged the SCFU to deliver three video projects, interviewing local people and embedding interviews with local community connectors in our project promotion. Everyone was delighted with the outcome and I was particularly impressed with the quality and professionalism of the Unit.

We worked with the SCFU to develop some short films to help potential clients have a better understanding of what we offer and how we can help. This involved filming some staff and people who had used our service.
The SCFU team produced a film that hit the mark perfectly. They were a pleasure to work with, put all participants at ease, delivered to a very tight timescale and were great value for money. I would definitely recommend them.

Braid House Day Centre was introduced to the Scottish Community Film Unit approximately 6 years ago. During this time the SCFU have provided this company with excellent support by working with service users and staff to design and develop DVD’s to promote the services provided at Braid House.
Braid House provides Day Support to vulnerable older people and the work carried out by the SCFU has been a major factor in helping us show stakeholders how important this support service is to service users and their carers. The SCFU work in a very caring and confidential way and respect the dignity of service users at all times.
I would have no hesitation in recommending the SCFU as a very professional company to work with and experts in their field.

The SCFU demonstrated a real dedication to providing the Edinburgh Art Festival with quality film material, taking great care and time to provide finished edits which demonstrated a clear sensitivity to the specific requirements of recording and representing the work of important contemporary artists invited to participate in the EAF's programme.
Due to their dedication and professionalism, we would be happy to work with the SCFU in future to provide us with media support for our press and publicity campaign.

We felt it important to detail the kind of work in which we are engaged to bring us to the fact that the involvement of the SCFU has been crucial to our success. The SCFU staff have brought a valuable dimension to our programmes. Not just media but a medium that connects with our client groups, able, professional and sensitive to client relationships, we have no problem in recommending the SCFU.

I should like to thank you and your excellent crew for your sterling work in carrying out the filming at our 'MS Space event.' It is of great interest – and importance - to have such an excellent record of the many aspects of this event and the Society is most appreciative of all the time and labour which goes into the production process.
Please accept our grateful thanks for your services.

Most impressive of the services offered by the SCFU is the ability to deliver exactly what is requested. This is based on many years of experience of practical work backed up by a thorough theoretical knowledge of all forms of situations and environments from which best results can be obtained. In particular, the personal approach used by staff to maximise audience participation and generate a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, results in quality products and best use of available time.
We would have no hesitation in recommending the SCFU to any company or organisation looking to obtain a professional outcome of excellent quality that best represents the role or work of their organisation.

The staff and volunteers involved with the SCFU have been enthusiastic, supportive and motivational. The SCFU are very flexible and have worked with us in formal settings within educational establishments as well as informal community based settings. The SCFU team have provided us with a very professional service; no job has proved too difficult for them.
As an organisation working with children and young people from the age of 8-21 years, many of whom come from a disadvantaged background or have behavioural issues and low levels of confidence, it is not always easy to engage young people in group work programmes and activities that involve public speaking. Through our partnership with the SCFU we have been able to provide young people with the opportunity to present their view in film format, a range of issues have been addressed such as community safety, access to services, volunteering and youth participation.
The SCFU is flexible in their approach and I am sure many positive outcomes will be achieved for all who utilise their services.
